Rebranding Illinois’ leading foster care organization.
The Challenge
We all want to do good. But, identifying who to support and how to get involved is hard. The Restore Network, Illinois’ leading Foster Care advocacy challenged us to create a brand to inspire Illinois’ diverse communities to get involved in helping foster children heal and thrive. The statistics are alarming. Katie Myette, the Executive Director, shared that kids in Illinois spend more time in foster care than anywhere else in the United States and 39% of kids move four or more times while in care.
The Result
Re-imagining a non-profit identity, especially one tackling an issue like foster care, is tricky. The Restore Network needed more than our creativity. They needed a team committed to the cause. Discovery sessions with Katie and her team revealed the drive behind “every child deserves to feel safe and loved” and the dedication which led them to become one of Illinois’ most esteemed foster care advocates. Our mission was to translate their decades of experience into a professional identity system, without losing touch with their softer side. The result was beautiful. Letter-based logos, cool color palettes, modern gradients, and bold accents, striking a capable-yet-caring balance.
What the Client Received
When kids are hurting we all have a responsibility to act. The Restore Network puts this conviction into action every day, caring for the families who are defending the defenseless. They already had the heart, now they have the presence to amplify their restorative work even further.
